Tailored Environment for Every Stage of Development
Educators present a “Three Period Lesson” to introduce the children to the name of apparatus and the learning outcomes for each material. After the lesson, children work with the material independently to practice, explore and make connections to the learning outcomes.
The Montessori classroom offers a carefully prepared environment designed to meet children’s changing needs and encourage natural curiosity. Within this calm and purposeful space, children are free to explore, choose meaningful activities, and work at their own pace, guided by knowledgeable educators. Through hands-on learning, children develop concentration, independence, self-discipline and a genuine joy for learning, while honouring their unique abilities and rhythms of development.
After this time the educators observe how the children are learning and document their progress. An educator will only intervene if needed. This encourages children to be independent while giving children a sense of empowerment and the ability to retain new skills and information to learn. A new lesson is provided when a child is ready to progress to the next stage. With repetition and practice children can master the materials offered and develop an understanding for each curriculum area.

Our Special Spaces
Every space of our centre is designed with children in mind. Each space invites curiosity, creativity, and fun. Whether it’s exploring, building, or just having a quiet moment, our spaces help your child feel free, happy, and inspired every day.
The library is a space for exploration, where children can discover books that nurture pre-literacy skills and spark a lifelong love of reading.
At Learning Sanctuary, our library is thoughtfully categorized to help educators quickly find books to support their teaching whether it’s about sea life, dinosaurs, staying healthy, space, inclusion, toilet training, or other topics.
We love encouraging our children to borrow books from our library and share stories, fostering curiosity, imagination, and a joy for learning that lasts a lifetime. The quite space welcomes parents to help their child transition during morning drop offs.
Our outdoor nature yoga combines the benefits of movement, mindfulness, and connection to the natural world. Children engage in gentle yoga poses, breathing exercises, and mindful activities outdoors, fostering physical strength, flexibility, and balance.
Children develop life skills by setting tables independently and engaging in mealtimes as opportunities for social interaction. They explore different foods, enjoy relaxed conversations, and benefit from a calm, soothing environment with soft piano music.
